Comparison of China's monthly dried pepper exports in 2023 and 2022

From the perspective of the countries and regions where China exported dried pepper in August 2023, Malaysia exported the most, with a monthly export volume of 1,830,423 kg, followed by Thailand, Mexico, South Korea, the United States, North Korea, Indonesia, Turkey, Singapore, and Japan.

Among them, Malaysia accounted for 40.03%, Thailand accounted for 26.06%, Mexico accounted for 19.10%, South Korea accounted for 4.64%, and the United States accounted for 4.55%.

But Malaysia and Thailand have increased compared with last month, so the overall decline is not large. Among the top three countries, Thailand and Mexico have increased their imports in different amplitude, but Thailand has increased significantly, doubling.

On the whole, the import volume and export volume of dried pepper in August decreased compared with July, and the import volume decreased significantly, mainly because the price of Indian pepper has been relatively high compared with other varieties, and the purchasing merchants have more resistance to high prices, which inhibits consumption. At the same time, affected by the decline in the price of various varieties of chili peppers in China, merchants prefer low-cost supplies.
